Babies are such miracles, especially this one with all she went through to get here! I hate that Tasha went through so much during labor. I am so very sorry that all of you had to go through these horrible events. Tasha is the ONLY one that I can say that had a worse labor, delivery, and recovery than me!

After 24+ hours in labor, I had an epidural that was switched to a spinal. Like Tasha, I felt the cutting (not the pressure) during my c-section. Unfortunately, because I'd already been given so much medication, I couldn't be put to sleep or it would have killed me the anesthesiologist told the OB/GYN! In a hurry to get done quickly, my doctor cut through lots of my reproductive and urinary systems. For some reason I went into shock!!! Twelve years later, I am still amazed that Jordan wasn't chopped to pieces during surgery. Next, the urologist had to be called in before I could be closed - which took another couple of hours. The next day started a new round of torture in testing the functioning of my urinary system. Thankfully, Jordan only needed oxygen for a very brief period.

After my experience, I decided that Jordan would be an only child. You guys have gone through ALL of the worst possible experiences in the quest to become parents. Should you decide to have another child, the events should not even compare to the arrival of Canaan. Planned c-sections are much easier I've been told.

As badly as things went, I thank God that you have a happy, healthy, beautiful baby girl! There is no doubt that there is power in prayer. Those prayers were heard and answered in the arrival of your daughter!
