We are a young Christian couple from Benton, LA attending Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. Tasha is an Elementary Education major, and Cyrus is a Computer Information Systems major. We are also both active members in Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship. Feel free to browse the blog, ask us questions, leave us comments, or give us advice. We hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

Hey sweetie;
I love the website. This is the coolest journal ever!!!
I have the poem on my phone as a text message from when Tasha forwarded it to me. If you tell me how to send it back to you, I will.
This adventure you are on, and believe me it’s an adventure, is an awesome one. It is overwhelming at times, more than you can imagine now, but it is so rewarding. I am certain you both will do fine. You both want the best for this child and you both will stop at nothing to do just that. There will be things that you do with/for this baby that your parents did differently. Please make sure you are not discarding the things they did just to be the polar opposite of them. Make sure it is for the absolute best for her. Your parents may have had a point, but justlacked skill in the delivery.
Just remember to keep listening to God first and foremost.Then “seek Godly advise” from those you have access to.(Prov 15:22)
If all you do is nothing more than share the love you have for each other with her, she will be more blessed than the land of Canaan.
I love you both.

Well, I think that positive and negative things can, in some way affect the Kingdom towards God’s plans. I hope that nothing too drastic or irreversible in a negative sense comes from this (or any administration). What could we be set up for? If, as the most drastic claims say, Obama were the anti-Christ, even this would be another step towards Christ’s return. Now, I’m not an expert on Revelation, but I don’t think the situation sets the scene for Obama to be the anti-Christ. I think that this administration WILL be a change, with reference to the current administration, but I wonder if much change from Democrats of old will be brought about. We just saw 8 years under a Republican Presidency. Several also had Republican control over Congress. Also, 2 Supreme Court Justices were appointed by the Republican President. Yet, no significant legislation concerning what many consider to be THE biggest Christian voter (and often Republican voter) issue, abortion, was passed. Many world democracies, for better or worse (I say definitely worse), have moved or are moving to universal health care. This is a very real possibility under the new administration, and the thought of it terrifies me (especially in seeking qualified, timely health care for my daughter). However, I think the best we can do, is use the legislative and electoral process to our advantage when we are given the opportunity to do so (to undue any damage caused by any administration), and most importantly, trust in God!

Cy. I love the website. This will be the most awesome gift for Caney. She will treasure this for all her life. I’m kinda old so I can speak from that vantage point. When she is as old as me, she will be able to see just how you guys looked and how you interacted with each other and she will love it. Keep it going all the while she is growing and she’ll be able to see all the things that she can’t remember from when she was a little one. You both are going to be GREAT parents. I love you both.
